Is it possible to get the BlackBerry Curve8530 for Verizon without having a data plan?

I don't know, because I don't live in the states, however I do have a blackberry curve. There is not pot in having one if you do not have data. You need data to get more apps, facebook, bb messenger, email, yahoo messenger, msn browse the web, most of the applications that come with it need data. Even upgrading to professional doents to go (word to go, slide-show to go) requires data. There is no point in having a blackberry if you aren't going to use those things. If you are going to see those thighs, you need a data plan, or phone bill will be very expensive. If you just want to make phone calls and sms text, get one of those phones with they keyboard (Motorola rival, ect.) they are cheaper, easier to use, and do not cost as much per month. Many of them still have the media (camera, music, video), calculator, calender, and memo pad that bb's have.
