Should I text him? Please help!?

I met this guy doing athletics and we texted alot yesterday and had longish flirty convosation over text. :) He called me later and he woke me up and I think I was acting really wierd and I made him laugh and he made me laugh and it was all going good until it got really akward and stupidly I asked him to think of something to say and he was like, no you, because ive started all the convosations. :\ and then I asked him something really random about this T.V programme and he was like, yeah I better go because I have to wake up early. I really wanted to end the convosation first (to do the 'chase') and yeah it just went really wierd, but just before he went he said ' I have unlimited texts tomorow, bye, much love' and I said i'd text him. But now I don't know whether I should because I started the text convosation yesterday, he was the first to get of the phone and it was a really wierd phonecall and like, well, really should I just wait for him to text me first ? :) I'm sorry ive probably blabbed on a bit, but i'm 14 and utterly confused !
