Why is it that virginity is more acceptable for females?

I wouldn't mock a 20 year old guy whos a virgin. I'm currently 15 and i'm a virgin. I plan to stay this way until marriage so I couldn't care less what people say about it or any other guy whos a virgin. Judgemental people are often judgemental about stupid things in this case virginity.
